As some of you know, I recently got a brand new TV. It was a Christmas gift for my mom. Well, it died. My mom got me a nicer one, but it wasn’t a Smart TV, so I took it back and exchanged it for a different brand because I could get a bigger one for a little bit cheaper. In hind sight, I probably should have just kept the one my mom got me.
Well, after only 21 days, the one I got broke, so I called the company. They not only replaced it, but gave me a bigger one, so now, I have a 42 in Smart TV. It is wonderful! I have only had it a couple of days and am really happy with it. I also just got a Smart Blu Ray/DVD player. It arrived in the mail yesterday.
So, if I have time today, I’m going to christen it by watching Tompopo. I can’t wait to watch this amazing story on my 42 inch screen. Not only will the picture be amazing, but I’ll be able to read the subtitles easily, too.
I am very glad that I have this TV, however, there is a big story in the news regarding a Smart TV. One company has a voice activated remote. Apparently, if you are talking with someone in the room, the TV can record your conversations, your personal conversations. A lot of people were unaware of this until a few days ago, so now some people are thinking about returning their TVs that have this feature.
My TV doesn’t have voice activation, but I wonder if it can record my other activities. I’m assuming it can, so I will have to see if I can turn off or deactivate any tracking that it might have. I guess I’ll find out later.
Thanks for reading.
