So what is a mild winter day to a Canadian? Yesterday was the perfect example of a beautiful mild winter day. Yesterday it was only -3 degrees Celsius and sunny. Whereas the last couple months have been -15 and colder so to us Canadians -3 is a welcome “warm” change.
Since it wasn’t freezing cold my husband and I went on another long walk with Luna (our Goldendoodle dog). We just bought her these really cute green winter boots to save her paws from the salt on the ground. The salt really aggravates her paws so she always wears boots when we go for a walk. I really think she likes them.
My family and I are anxious to see the first signs of spring. This winter is just like every winter… it feels way too long. Winter is definitely the longest season in Canada and it’s no wonder that we get sick of snow, hail, frozen rain, and slush. I wear the same winter boots everyday and I can’t even remember the last time I wore a pair shoes outside. There’s just too much snow to be able to wear shoes without getting your socks wet. By the end of this month things should really start to warm up and melt away all of this snow.
Have a great day and I hope you are staying warm. Enjoy the beautiful weather wherever you are!
