【Go sightseeing in Australia】

(Contributed by Erica)
If you want to get away from the stressful life in a big city, want to relax and enjoy your time … Australia is the right place to go on vacation.
Australia is close to Japan and it will take you around 9 hours to get there. You can enjoy the nature, wild life, learn about aborigine’s culture, go scuba diving, go hiking, swim in the beautiful beaches and much more.
Besides that, Aussie people are very friendly. Although Australian English varies from English itself in accent, pronunciation, vocabulary, spelling and grammar as well, it is a good opportunity to hear and practice your English.
Traveling is a good way to build up vocabulary, get used to hearing natives speak in natural speed, learn new expressions and some slangs and mainly put in practice what you learned in class.
One of my favorite destinations is Brisbane.
Day 1: Brisbane
Brisbane is the third most populous city and it is the capital of Queensland. There are a lot of things to explore in Brisbane. You can’t miss a sightseeing tour throughout the Historic Center; taking a cruise along the Brisbane River; visiting Lone Pine Koala Sanctuary; or enjoying the view at Mt Coot-tha.
Day 2-3: Sydney
Blue Mountains
How about venturing in a wild walk guided in the Blue Mountains National Park. I assure you it will be one of the most astonishing view you have ever seen. On your way back, you can walk back through the forest (approximately a 30 minute walk)
Sydney Harbour Bridge and Opera House
The Sydney Harbour Bridge, called by Aussies as ” Coathanger” because its arch-based-design. It is also the largest arch–bridge in the world and it is consider the most well-known landmarks. You can’t miss the bridge climb, which for sure, attracts a great number of tourists. Besides that, you will get a breathtaking view from there.
Moreover, you can take a ferry boat and enjoy the Opera House. There are lots of things to do there – music, art, a backstage tour also offered in Japanese, shopping and much more.
Day 4-5: Gold Coast
Gold Coast is located in south part of Brisbane, a metropolitan region with lots of wonderful white sand beaches. If you enjoy surfing, Surfers Paradise is the ideal beach. On the other hand, if you want to see kangaroos, koalas, wombats, dingos, crocodiles and other beautiful species, Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary is my suggestion.
There are also wonderful parks where you can relax, have a picnic, read a book or rent a bike to explore Gold Coast.
A good place to stay in is Currumbin Sanctuary – Apartments with a reasonable price, 5 minute-walk from the beach, great location and buses at the door.
There are lots of things to explore in Australia. Here are just few things you can do there during a short trip.
I hope you enjoyed reading this post! =D
