【Will I or won’t I?】

(Contributed by Michelle)
Hi, everybody. Well, I got an interesting email the other day. There is a small chance that I might be coming to Japan this year. Yep, that’s right! A client of mine may need my help, so I might be flying over in June or July to assist her.
At the moment, it is just a small chance, but it better than none. She will be going there next week, I think and it seems she’ll be staying there with family for a few months. Since she is handicapped, she might need me to fly over so I can fly back with her.
Right now, I don’t know any of the details, but have agreed to be her backup. It’s a great deal, so I kind of have to take it, right? There are two things that I’m wondering about, though. First, I’ll need to find super cheap places to stay and stay with friends. I’d love to stay with them, but hate inconveniencing them too much. However, where there is a will there is a way.
The other thing is that it looks like it’ll be in June. If I were to be needed, I wish it were in July. If it were pushed back a couple of weeks, then I’d be able to carry the shrine (お神輿) in the Kasukabe Festival. This would be amazing and kind of perfect if it’d work out this way.
It would be great going back, even if it’s only for a few days. I guess I’ll find out soon if I’ll be needed or not. Once I know, I’ll be sure to let you know, too. Don’t worry!
I guess, if it’s meant to be, then it’s meant to be, so if it doesn’t happen, then that is ok. Who knows…..
Thanks for reading.
