【Canadian spring creatures & EXCITING NEWS about my family】

(Contributed by Liz)
It’s officially spring in my area and all the sleeping creatures are starting to roll out of hibernation. For the first time in a while I heard coyotes howling at night. The first time I heard them howl, I have to admit it was a little scary. However, now my family and I are used to hearing them howl at the moon and we love listening to them. We live near a river and park so lots of wild life is in our yard. For example we have a majestic looking hawk that has nested in one of our many old trees. It’s amazing to watch her glide through the air effortlessly and then swoop in for a mouse. I have to say this year I haven’t seen any mice in our area, so she’s doing a good job. I really hope she comes back next year too, but for now we are enjoying every minute of her visit this year. I can’t wait to see her little ones.
This summer is very special to my husband and I, as we are having our first baby. We are so excited and can’t wait to meet our little one. We were not able to find out if it’s a boy or a girl in our last ultrasound, but it doesn’t matter to us anyway. I’ve been very lucky so far and have had lots of energy and just a couple weeks ago I felt the baby’s first kicks.
Thanks for keeping up with my blogs and sharing these special moments with me. I look forward to meeting/seeing you in class. Enjoy the rest of your weekend.
