【USA Presidential Election】

Contributed by Kelvin)
Today on November 8th it is election day here in the United States. The citizens of the United States will have the choice between Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump as the next president of the United States. This election season has been flooded with controversy and public debate. The Financial stock market has been volatile based on possible outcomes of the presidential election. Governments around the world are watching for the outcome of the United States election process.
Despite any controversy that may exist during this election season, the best course of action to voice opinion is to vote. Citizens have the privilege and the right to vote for government officials in the United States. This Democratic process was installed at the founding of the United States in 1776.
In recent decades, an elected president has been from a previously held government office such as senator, congressman, or state Governor. If Donald Trump wins, who will be the first businessman to hold a public office without any prior experience. If Hillary Clinton wins, she will be the first woman president ever in the United States. Either way this election season has been writing the pages of history. Hillary Clinton has already broken the history books by becoming the first woman candidate of a national ticket. That National Ticket is the Democratic Party. She had previously run for President 8 years ago, but Barack Obama won the Democratic National Ticket and later became president.
This blog entry is being written in the early morning of election day. The results of the election will be found out after 24 hours from the completion of the writing of this blog. As the author of this blog entry I will vote myself later in the day.
