【Carolina Panthers part 2】

(Contributed by Justin)
So the Panthers lost the superbowl last year and saw a complete different side of the “unstoppable” dancing machine, Cam Newton. During the whole game, Newton was upset and lost his mind. He wasn’t playing straight and was very nervous because he hadn’t felt pressured like that during the entire season. Needless to say, we did not see any dancing by his part during the superbowl. Rather, the rival team was taunting the Panthers with their own celebration dances since they were destroying them.
How did Newton react to the loss? During the press conference afterwards he was asked a number of questions. When asked ‘What could you have done better during the game?’ he simply stated, “I don’t know,” and did not even give eye contact to the interviewer. He was very short with most responses during the whole interview simply replying ‘I don’t know’ or ‘no’ with a very rude attitude. Then he abruptly said, “I’m done!” and walked away from the interview.
Poor guy, he didn’t know what to do. He thought he was unstoppable but not only did he get stopped, he got completely shut down. Here his true colors were shown. He showed that he was still immature and needed to do some growing up. Never should one act like that at defeat. One should humbly accept the defeat and recognize that there is always room for improvement. In his case, this interview made him look really bad since he was dancing and acting a fool during the whole season with a huge smile, but when reality struck he was a complete baby. That is why it is important to stay humble.
This year the Panthers’ record is completely different. As of now they are at 4 wins and 8 losses. Not looking too good for them this year, but hopefully those “die hard” fans are still there to support them through the good and bad.
